At first, I took the train Friday morning and it took me five hours to get to Nadja in Cologne. After I had arrived at the station, Nadja showed me around Cologne (very nice city). After this, we went to her place and she showed me her Limahl file and afterwards we surfed on the internet and visited the Limahl sites. After having eaten we talked for a couple hours about our favourite topic. However, as we had to get up at 8 am next morning, we had to sleep. Nadja had to go to school and it was Open Day.

At 11.30 a.m., we got ready for Alsdorf and put the Limahl t-shirts in our bags. At 12.45 p.m. we headed to Alsdorf by rail and by bus. When we arrived at Alsdorf we first had to look for the Cinetower and thank god we found it. Then there was the meeting with other Limahl fans. We chatted and took some group photos.

At 7 p.m. we went to the champagne reception. There, we met the rest of the Limahl fans :-) We talked for a while and then it was time to go into the cinema hall where the awards took place. At the beginning, the gala was relatively boring, but then one could see Limahl standing aside the stage where he was waiting for his performance. Before he entered the stage, a promotion video of Limahl (by AME Media) was shown. Then he came onto the stage and sang 'Too shy'. Limahl wore a black suit and looked fantastic. Of course, we shouted encouragement and he had seen us. After 'Too shy' Lissy and I went to the edge of the stage and turned the purple cushion over to him that I sewed for him. We were very nervous but Limahl was quite happy and gave us a kiss. He quickly had a picture taken by me. We went back to our seats again and then 'The neverending story' started. Limahl asked the audience to sing along and he succeeded. Before he left the stage he shouted 'See you at the party.'. The gala continued for one or two more hours and then we finally could go to the party.

We tried to find Limahl but we couldn't see him anywhere. Then, however, when Nadja and I wanted to leave at about 23.45 p.m. we came across Dani and Flower. After a small talk we set off in Limahl's direction (a woman showed us the way). It was incredible to meet him. He wore a green t-shirt with the words 'New York' on it (he also wore it at bands reunited) and a pair of blue jeans. I asked him at once if he could sign my t-shirt and he did it right away. We then took a couple of photos and after a while I asked him if I could hug him. He asked me to come around the table and then he embraced me for a very long time. This was an incredibly cool feeling. :-D Limahl asked us for our age and said to the person next to him: 'Wow, unbelievable!' and then to us: 'I could be your father.'. He joked around quite a lot and was in high spirits. He also left an ansaphone message for my mobile and I also took a photo of him with my mobile. After a couple of photos and small talks he was tired and said goodbye with a looong hug. He said to us: 'I hope to see you soon again.'. When he went outside, Nadja and I followed him and waved. He then waved back to us from the car.

Limahl is an incredibly cool, funny and nice person. We hope to see him soon again! :-DDDD
