If you would like to know more about the song writing process have a look at the story behind “1983” in Limahl's own words. (Download PDF). We also recommend to watch this nice little teaser video presented by British DJ Pat Sharp. To make 1983 a huge success in the charts of 2012 please buy your copy at the digital download stores! It would be fantastic if all the fans out there could help to promote the single at radio stations, social networks, online portal and friends & family. Cheers. ;-)
From today until the 26th December, Limahl's birthdaybook will be online again. Just follow the link to get to the birthday book.
Limahl on Twitter & Facebook
Since a few weeks Limahl is active on Twitter and Facebook. For those who havent't found him there here are the links: Twitter // Facebook
Limahl wasn't during the last weeks just sitting around. But worked together with the Norwegian song writers Tommy Olsen, Rune Maurtvedt and Stig Antonsen and recorded a new song called "1983".
This will be coming out through the Norwegian label Dig Music on the 10th January 2012 via digital distribution - exactly 29 years after the release of "Too Shy" (we hope this will be a good omen ).
Watch this space for more information ...
The two guys from the Kajafax Community, Steve Conley and Steve Yeo, hatched a fantastic plan to convince KajaGooGoo to digitally publish the track „Death Defying Headlines“ (Release Date: June 12, 2011) and they are also responsible for the entire promotional strategy. They also managed to get radio stations interested and put the song in their playlist. For more details of this project visit the Kajafax website, find all the latest information here.
The promo trailer can be watched at youtube, link of some snippets of the Kaja guys at a soundcheck.
To get into the charts, sales are crucial. So the full support of every KajaGooGoo fan is needed. Unfortunately, purchases from outside the UK don't count towards the English chart position, but in the age of social networks, we are sure many of you have contact with people in England. It would be awesome if you could persuade them to download the single. It would be also great if these people could spread the word also and tell their friends etc. One download costs just £0.79 – and should therefore be affordable for everyone. ;-) Following websites have already listed the song – pre-orders are available NOW; the release date of „Death Defying Headlines“, available as standard or dance version, will be on 12 June:

On iTunes, you can currently pre-order only the entire EP. After the 12th, it will be possible, though, to purchase a single track. Amazon.co.uk already lists the song/EP, but download will not be possible before the release date.

All sales within the period of pre-orders (May 16 – June 12) will count towards the chart position. The moment of truth will be the 19th of June. On this day, the UK charts will be evaluated. For a Top 100 ranking, you have to sell about 1,500 copies, and for a Top 40 about 4,000 copies.
If all KajaGooGoo & Limahl Fans worldwide would actively support this project, a favorable chart position should be possible in the UK. It's now in our hands to write a chapter in the success story of the Kajas!
Please note that only three copies are allowed for
purchase per person/household. Please also note that the iTunes
and amazon shops worldwide have also included the EP in their assortment.
To support the band you can, of course, buy the EP from these shops
as well. A chart entry in these countries under the current conditions
– no promotional work, no support from radio and television
– would be barely possible however.
Thanks for your support!!!
Today, the number 7 plays an important role for us: On 7th April we celebrate the 7th anniversary of the foundation of the fan club. The seven-year itch would thus be over and we are very appreciative that our community has existed for so long now. We would like to thank all members and fans for the years of loyality and support.

Today we received the
message that this weekends Kajagoogoo concert at Sala Kongresowa

his agreement with the band. The cancellation of this show is totally
out of the bands control. It is totally down to the promoter. The
band are deeply disappointed but would like to reassure you that
they are working to rescheduling a tour of Poland for 2009.

Beginning of April the official KajaGooGoo
Reunion Website went online. Just have a look and see what news
the five have for you.
The first gig has already been confirmed, the band will appear at Retrofest 2008 on 30 - 31 August 2008. There is also talk of more gigs and of writing/recording new material. So watch this space for the latest news.
Limahl thoughts on the reunion:
"... I am cautiously optimistic until the legal stuff is sorted
- but I do genuinely feel something in the air which is partly to
do with the intervention of the new manager Bradley Snelling who
has cut through all the old emotional baggage with an outside perspective
- his role is actually pivotal. So it looks like 2008 is going to
be a very interesting year - the phone/emails have been busy since
this 'reunion' avenue was opened. I'm excited about performing some
of the 'White Feathers' album again (the only album we made together).
With the passing of time I've come to learn and appreciate what
a great job Colin Thurston did on the production - which makes it
even more piognant after he sadly died of cancer in 2007 - god bless
you Colin wherever you are. ..."
