so far we have a first little success with all our cd purchases and music downloads. Limahl’s new single ‘Tell me why’ managed to get on 96 in the official German charts. We would like so say thank you – also on behalf on Limahl- to all of you!!! However, the song has much more potential, don’t you think so too? Therefore, we continue keeping our fingers crossed that more music lovers will sit up and take notice of it and rush into the shops to buy the cd single.

So if you are still looking for a nice present for your friends or family members this would be the right timing. Because there is a saying: Strike while the iron is hot. If ‘Tell me why’ can rise in the charts, maybe some radio stations might wake up and put it in their weekly playlist here in Germany.

Maybe some of you remember that 'Tell me why' got its first airplay as a new song on the German channel Radio Berlin on 1 May 2006. And its first success soon followed. In the ensuing week, it entered the listeners' charts at zero and jumped to number 11!!! In its second week it rose to number 7. We think that is fantastic! But we think the song has greater potential. Therefore we appeal to all Limahl fans: Please keep voting! Of course, it’s impossible to pick up all the radio votings on this page, but nevertheless, there’s another one we would like to offer. This time it’s on Radio Hitwelle. Please open the link www.hitwelle.de and scroll down a bit. Then click on 'Stimmen Sie mit'. On the new page, you will find the listeners' hits of the programme Hitwelle Top 15. "Tell me why" is the forth new song. Just check three of your favourite tracks, fill in your first and last name and send your votes off by clicking on the button 'Abschicken'. It would be great if Limahl would also find his way onto these charts. We keep our fingers crossed!

Limahl has got a B-rotation on the German private music channel Hit 24 which means that the video of 'Tell me why' will be played 4 until 9 times per week! Hit 24 can exclusively be received at Premiere with the according subscription.

Some further dates have been confirmed for Germany. On 20 May 2006, Limahl performs at the Celle world championship fan party on the occasion of the salutation of the national team from Angola. According to the interim programme this is going to take place at 10:45 pm at the 'Großen Plan' in the Old Town of Celle.

On 27 May 2006, Limahl will perform on the first Hellersdofer 80s Open Air 'Live is Life' in Berlin, fairground Alte Hellersdorfer Straße, and on 10 June 2006 at the festival ‘Elbauennacht’ in Magdeburg, Kleiner Cracauer Anger. Now the waiting finally came to an end! Limahl's new single 'Tell me why' got its first radio play in Germany yesterday. That means a long dry spell is finally over for all the fans. Now let's all hope that this song will be played by many radio stations. Furthermore, it would be fantastic if this song would be presented as a new song in charts and voted by the listeners.

So the first airplay was during the broadcast of 'Hey Music' on 'Radio Berlin' last night as one of twelve new songs. German fans can still vote for it here until Wednesday noon.

The video premiere of 'Tell me why' also succeeded. The station 'Hit 24', a spin-off of Premiere, broadcast the video clip in its programme 'Soundcheck' on 28 April 2006 at 6:26 pm for the very first time. Unfortunately, the German management informed us about that a bit too late so that we couldn’t let you know about it in time. But it will certainly be shown on this or another music channel at another point of time. So keep your eyes open!

We would sincerely like to thank every fan club member who took part in our activity 'Star Limahl'. This activity was very well received by you. We named the star on 7 April 2006 and went for one that is already visible to the naked eye in the constellation of the Cygnus. To hand over the Star Certificate, we met Limahl in one of the many comfy Starbucks Coffee Houses in London last week. He was very pleased about this special present and told us that he is quite interested in stars and planets. So it almost looks that we found the right lucky charm for our 'starlet'.

Since 13 April 2006, both the 12 inch and the picture vinyl of 'Tell me why' are already available to DJs in advance sale. This is part of the marketing strategy do some pre-promotion for this track in the clubs. In the meantime, the picture vinyl can be acquired as per Buy it now on the German e-bay for 5,00 Euro. The seller behind this is the 'Music Garden Werbe GmbH' which is the own marketing company of ZYX.

We can't really believe it, but the fanclub is getting two years today. Lots of interesting things have happened during this time and a nice community has arisen from it. We really would like to thank each and every Limahl fan very much for the support. Because one thing is for sure, without you this fanclub wouldn't exist. The attendance proves that this page has been accepted positively: Within two years 32,000 visitors and we don't even want to mention the clicks here.

The waiting finally comes to an end. The exact release date for Limahl's single 'Tell me why' is now known. It will be released on 26 May 2006!!!! So you have to diarise this date in your calendar in bold letters!

In line with the promotion Limahl will, of course, come to Germany. Soon we will put the dates online. So watch this place!
