There is no exact release date for the single 'Tell me why', which will be released in Germany, Austria and Switzerland first, yet. However, the cover of it is finished now. Just click on the following thumbs for enlargement:

This week there are a couple of news about Limahl:

On 15 March between 7 and 8 pm English time Limahl will be live on the phone in the Show "The Big Quiz" on the English channel LBC 97.3. Within one minute he has to answer as many questions, which test his common knowledge, correctly as possible. There will also be a little chat with the presenter Gary King.

On Limahls agenda, there is also a TV performance in Portugal on 17 March. The successful radio show 'Febre de Sábado de Manhã' celebrates its anniversary of 25 years of age and Limahl is invited to perform in the two and a half hour long show.

Furthermore, Limahl will write the beginning of a fictional story for a new literarily community 'TheNeverEndingStory' launching on 2 April 2006 . This and further stories also written by celebrities can be then continued by all users on the internet.

It has now been decided to stop the fanpage-award definitely! Of course, this is a pity to hear but we can totally understand the motivation behind it. Still we would like to thank you so much for your numerous votes - even if this effort was unfortunately to no avail. However, the Fanpageaward Team keeps its chin up and is already working on a new and above all better concept. The operators hope that the Fanpageaward could be brought back to life again in a couple of months. As soon as we've got the details we'll let you know. So check out this place regularly.

As probably some of you might have noticed the fanpage-award has been suffering from big technical and organisational problems on the part of the organisers. Some time you were able to vote for your favourite page, then it didn't work at all for a couple of hours. There was also some manipulation and hacking going on. In the end the organisers have decided to stop this fanpage-award until further notice. Of course, we do support this decision. As soon as we have further information, we'll let you know. So check out this place regularly.

The waiting finally comes to an end and we can now looking forward to a new live date in Germany that has just turned up on our desk. On 17 June 2006 there will be a big 80s party in the Westfalenhalle in Dortmund. Not only Limahl belongs to the line-up but also Sandra ('Maria Magdalena') and Alphaville ('Big in Japan'). This event that takes place in the course of the football world championship begins at 8 pm and probably ends at 11 pm.

The Limahl Fanclub Fans wants to wish a 'Happy Valentine's Day' to all Limahl fans and visitors of this webpage who are in love. Limahl also does not want to miss the opportunity and sends you the following greeting through the fanclub: "Happy Valentine's Day to all the fanclub members - may cupid's arrow shoot you through the heart and make you feel all warm inside."

Furthermore, we would like to inform you of the current state regarding the single release of 'Tell me why'. Unfortuneately, there isn't a release date yet. The radio mix is finished though and the dance mix by the German remixers DONS from Hamburg is in the works. Furthermore, a video for the single will be made in London this week. So you see, some things are happening.

So as we have to wait for the release date a little bit more, we have some other interesting news for you. In January 2006, a new club mix of 'Too Shy' was published as a 12" vinyl single at the label 'Fanatik' in France. This version arose from the collaboration last year with the French dj Julien Créance. This year, the webpage of the German Limahl Fanclub takes part in the ‘Fanpage-Award 2006’-competition presented by the Raiffeisen Club, the Stars4kids and X-large. The voting has already started today (1 February 2006) and will last three months until 30 April 2006. After this, it’s the turn of a jury of experts and celebrities to choose which is, in their opinion the best page out of the best 30 fan pages. The final winner will be announced in May.

It would be phenomenal, of course, if we could manage to establish as high as possible und for this reason to continue to raise the name recognition of the fanclub and Limahl – especially with regard to the forthcoming single release. The best six fan pages will even be permanently presented on the homepage. But we won’t manage this without YOUR assistance!
